Display of sadness- since you broke up, your ex has been updating sad statuses on face book and uploading sad picture quotes on their instagram. If he or she has been doing this, chances are, they are striving to show you how sad your break up left them.
Frequent calls- if your ex wants you back, they’ll call you more often than their regular friends. Not necessarily do they often call to say something special but only to listen to your voice and know how your day is ,or is going.
Memories of the good times- exes who are having a hard time moving on always talk about their emotions and keep reminding you of the good times you spent together with hopes that maybe the tides will change.
Maintained singlehood- since you two broke up, your ex has kept off from dating again. Chances are that they are still hurting or they are keeping themselves free in case you choose to come back to them.
Their friends tell you he/she still loves you- if an ex misses you, chances are that you are going to encounter one of their friends telling you how much your ex still loves you and would want to have you back in their life.
Drunk dialing- booze is a liquid courage and therefore your ex may call you occasionally to speak their mind and heart to you. This is a clear sign that they still have feelings for you.
